I have worked on various software projects for over 5 years now, commercial and open source. With experience varying from video game and advertising to translation systems, the demand made me start my own software company. I managed to open my business officially on October, 1st 2009. Incubation of the company was funded by the European Social Fund.

Strong points

Being that young of a company brings essential agility to the development process, enabling us to join projects in various stages of completeness. We offer system design from scratch, implementation of existing designs as well as refinement and improvement of already deployed solutions.
  • Programming as Craft: we do not accept average code, seeing computer programming as a fine craft field, not that different from watchmaking or growing bonsai trees. We strive for perfection because additional time consumed at the time of development is saving us and our customers orders of magnitude more time we would spend debugging and refining average solutions.
  • Cost-Competitiveness: while not cheap per se, our services are very cost-effective because of the attention to detail.
  • Hassle Free Communication: every developer speaks, writes and reads fluent English. We work during Central European office hours.

Technologies

Every developer at LangaCore is also a hobbyist. After hours we often get home to do the same thing we did at the office: programming. Having that in mind our choice of technologies is mainly dictated by systems we are familiar with, like to work with and have trust in.
  • Python: Pylons, Django, Plone, CherryPy, SQLAlchemy
  • Java: EJB, Spring, Hibernate, JSF, JSP, Liferay
  • Web Servers: Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, nginx
  • Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, ZODB, CouchDB, MongoDB
  • many others: ask!
